There is no Rijsttafel in Indonesia. No restaurant sell Rijsttafel in Indonesia (except in bali and that is for tourists)
I am Indonesian, I know some of the dishes that they serve in the 'so call' Rijsttafel , but we never will put those dishes together. Not really good mixture and too many classing taste.
It just not a real indonesian food.
So you can claim it as the most famous indonesian food.
For that you should go for sate or gado2.
The picture above is NOT Rijsttafel. It is nasi tumpeng. An offering food (food to be pray for) popular for Indonesian selametan (praying gathering). It dishes is well balaced for the coconut rice (and full of meaning). The rice is made into a mountain shape (Mountaine = God's home in the high above place).
